Has it really been 45 years?  I FEEL like the same person who graduated in 1958 from PHS, but I don't recognize the person who is staring back at me in the mirror.

I met Dan the summer of 1959.  He was attending OSU and working summers at Kerr-McGee in Pampa. I was working at Gray County Abstract...six months later we were married, and as they say, the rest is history.  We will celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary in December.

We have 2 sons, Jon and David, and one daughter, Carol.  Jon lives in Ft. Collins, CO, and David and Carol live nearby.  Jon has 4 children and a 2 yr. old grandson which makes us GREAT grandparents.  Carol has one son.

We lived in Midland many years before moving to Tulsa almost 20 years ago.  I guess that makes me an official "Okie".  However, you can take the girl out of Texas, but you can't take Texas out of the girl.  I love Tulsa, but I've always said "I would love it more if it were Tulsa, TEXAS.

I have been a self-employed paralegal since moving to Tulsa.  Before that, I was employed as Dan's accountant in his engineering and construction firm.  We are semi-retired as of six months ago.  I am working one day a week and Dan is working part time at one of Tulsa's golf courses ... the advantage being FREE GOLF.  The "retirement adjustment" is happening in our lives (full-nest syndrome), but we love to travel and are looking forward to traveling more now.  We have been to almost every state plus 2 cruises, one in Mexico and one in Southern Caribbean.

My 15 minutes of fame was in 1983.  I was featured in a chapter of a book written about the television program, 60 Minutes.  I had sent a story to 60 Minutes.  They aired it, and as a result of the story, they were awarded the Peabody Award.

I had back surgery 2 years ago, and Dan had 5-bypass surgery 17 years ago, but other than that, my family has been blessed with great health.  Speaking of great health, my mother is 84 years old and going strong.  She still lives on Garland Street in Pampa, mowing her own yard and playing bridge daily.

I am looking so forward to walking down memory lane with you in September.  Thanks to all of you who are helping out with the Reunion.  I know it is not an easy task.
