After graduation I got married and moved to Amarillo.
I married Mr. Right Now, instead of Mr. Right and was divorced in
three years. I had one daughter, Starla. I came back to Pampa and went to work for the Texas Railroad Commission. I changed jobs and went to work for Transwestern Pipeline Company, where I met and married my husband of 38 years, Jimmie Carter. We were transferred to Roswell, New Mexico in l970, where I gave birth to my twins, Lance and Curtis; two years later, I gave birth to Tyler. We were transferred to Odessa in l980, and then transferred back to Roswell in l982. I worked as a school secretary until Jimmie retired in l992 from Transwestern Pipeline Company. We enjoy living in Roswell, the Alien City. We keep busy with quilting, birding, gardening, woodworking and traveling.
