I graduated from North Texas University in 1962 (BBA). Sue Brown (PHS 60) and I were married in the spring of 1961. After graduation I worked in various phases of the oil & gas industry. Sue and I moved 16 times in our first 16 years of marriage and finally ended up back in Pampa in 1977. Since moving back to Pampa Ive been self-employed as a petroleum consultant. We have three children and four grandchildren: Our oldest daughter Melinda (43) (PHS 82) and West Texas State University in 99, is an RN in Burleson, Texas and is married to Todd Ritthaler (PHS 80) (Charlie & Pats son), who works for Devon Energy. Granddaughter Taryn (23) graduated from PHS in 03 & West Texas State University in 07 and has just completed her first year of law school at Texas Wesleyan University. Grandson Dakston (21) (PHS 06) has just completed his sophomore year at Texas Tech University. Grandson Trey (7) has just graduated from kindergarten and will be going into the first grade this fall at Burleson. Youngest daughter Melissa (41) (PHS 84) is still single. She has an associate degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Dallas and will be receiving her BSN this fall from West Texas State University. She plans to relocate in the Dallas area. Our son Jay Frank (40) (PHS 86) is married to daughter-in-law Angela. They live in Colleyville, Texas. Jay has a BBA and MBA from Tarleton State University and Angela has a BA in Journalism from Oklahoma University. Jay is a supervisor in the contract section at TXU in Dallas, and Angela is Publicity & Advertising Director for Exxon Mobil in Irving. They are the proud parents of our youngest grandson, Garrett (4), who attends pre-school. Sue and I are still working toward retirement. I was home for eight months with two shoulder surgeries and now Im not sure Sue will let me retire. I returned to work the first of July so everything is normal again. Oh well, like I said five years ago, maybe in two years. We are looking forward to seeing everyone for a great 50th get- together on September 12th & 13th. |
