Patricia
Anne Dial Haight, 50, of Montgomery Village, died of cancer Saturday, Nov. 25 at
her home. Mrs. Haight grew up in
Pampa, Texas. She attended Incarnate Word College in San Antonio, Texas
and later transferred to the University of Arkansas where she received a
bachelors degree in psychology.
She
attended graduate school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
earning a masters in social work in 1965. Later
that year she married James Haight. They lived in Baltimore for a brief
time and then moved to Rockville, ultimately settling in Montgomery Village in
1969.
Mrs.
Haight was a social worker for the Montgomery County Department of Social
Services and in psychiatric hospitals in Wilmington, Del. and Sykesville, Md.
Mrs. Haight was very active in her church, St. Rose of Lima Catholic
Church, working with the in-home education program for young children.
She
is survived by her husband; their only child, an adopted daughter Emily
Katherine; her mother, Margaret Schwind Dial of Pampa, Texas; and a host of
aunts and uncles.
Services
were held Monday at St. Rose of Lima, with interment in the church cemetery on
Tuesday.
