Belton - Services for Gerald Wayne Nolty, 59, of Belton, TX., were held Saturday, June 10, 2000, at Miller Heights Baptist Church in Belton with the Rev. Dan Kirkley officiating. Burial was private.
Mr. Nolty died Wednesday, June 7, 2000 in a Killeen hospital.
He was born in Cheyenne, OK. to Roy F. and Vera Kiser Nolty. he received a bachelor of science degree in animal husbandry from Texas Tech University. He married Bertha Heimer on August 25, 1962, in Flasner, N.D. He served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years and was a lieutenant. He owned and operated the AAMCO Transmission in Killeen, 1976 to present. He was ordained a Baptist minister on July 22, 1990. He served 12 years with the JAIL ministry and was a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Survivors are his wife, Bertha H. Nolty of Belton; a son, Dallas Wayne Nolty of New York City; a daughter, Kathy Sue Nolty of Llano; his mother, Vera Kiser Nolty of Miami; and a brother, Carroll Nolty of Fritch.
