It’s amazing how tough it was to just take the time to sit down and write this simple bio.  It seems like there was always something that needed to be done.  Maybe it’s just the fact that 45 years sounds like such a long time and it feels like it’s just been a few years since I left PHS.

After graduating from high school I attended West Texas State - but just for one year as my husband, Tommy Richardson, swept me off my feet and convinced me that I should marry him and go off to Hawaii to live.  This turned out to be a good decision, and on September 19 we will celebrate 44 years together.

Tommy was in the navy when we married and for the first two years was away most of the time.  In fact, he did not see our daughter, Terry, until she was six months old.  Our son, Tom, was born just two years later, and dad happily was home for that event!

In 1962 we came back to Pampa to live.  While Tommy spent most of his time on the move in the oil and gas trucking business, I was fortunate to be able to stay home and do the mother thing, including room mother, brownie leader, etc. as well as volunteer work at the hospital.

Terry is now Program Director of the Golden Phoenix Unit (a mental health unit for senior adults) at Pampa Regional Hospital.  She is a licensed professional counselor and also is beginning a private practice in Pampa.  Terry is the mother of our oldest grandson, Benjamin, who is now the third generation attending Pampa High School.  Our son, Tom, lives in Tulsa. He has had a few medical problems due to his diabetes, but has been working on beginning his own internet sales business.  He has given us two grandsons, Luke and Adam, as well as step grandchildren, Jessica and Jake.  We are so proud of our children and grandchildren.  They are all wonderful Christians and all around great human beings!

In 1980 I decided to get my real estate license. I worked in Pampa in the business for a number of years until Tommy and I decided in 1989 to set a new course for our lives and move to the Dallas area.  The week we moved in I went to work with Ebby Halliday, Realtors - barely knowing how to get to the office much less where any other streets were.  It was a great experience though and a unique way to learn a new city.  After four years in sales I decided to go to work for the company in administration, and I worked as listing coordinator and then administrative assistant for the Northwest - Metrocrest Ebby Halliday office.

In 1999 a friend and dynamic realtor convinced me to come to work for her as she built a real estate group within Ebby Halliday.  I am now the Administrative Assistant/Group Manager/Contract Coordinator for The Cindy O’Gorman Group.  It is a wonderful and challenging job.  Cindy is one of the top real estate professionals in the Metroplex.  Our group closed close to $75 million last year. It keeps me hopping. (Tommy will tell you that I’ve become a real workaholic!).

Tommy or I really have no desire to think about retiring right now or in the near future.  I just want to keep on enjoying the great experiences I am having!

It’s been so nice reading all the bios and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in September.
