Wife: Pat 5 children: Alan Griffin, Scott Griffin, Lori McCutcheon, Mike Douglas, Stacey Mendoza 13 grandchildren from age 15 to the last one born in
August, 2003. I have lived in Allen, Texas since 1974 and have
worked as an Information Analyst at EDS in Plano, TX for the last 5 years.
Prior to that I worked for US Brass also located in Plano for 25
years. My wife retired from
the Allen ISD administration office this year, and I plan to retire in the
coming year. We are members of the 1st Christian Church
in Allen and serve the Lord on various committees. Pat sings in the choir,
but they will not let me so I am currently serving as an Elder. Most of our time is spent on the grandchildren's’
activities (ballgames, track meets, band concerts, birthday parties,
babysitting, etc.) and church activities. After graduation, I served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. I returned to Pampa and worked in the oil fields and for Cabot until 1971 when I moved to Dallas. I married Jean Bookman Douglas in 1972 and lived in Dallas until 1974 when we moved to Allen. Jean passed away in 1977 with cancer. Pat and I were married in 1978 and recently celebrated our 25th anniversary at our granddaughter’s softball game. 50th Reunion Update - August 2008 I retired from Electronic Data Systems in 2004, and my wife Pat retired from the Allen ISD in 2003. We now have 14 grandchildren (ages 3 to 20) with three in high school and two in college; and one great-granddaughter (almost 2). So most of our time is spent at their activities (basketball, softball, cheerleading, track, soccer, football, piano recitals, birthday parties, and occasional babysitting). We are also active in First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). I don't know when I had time to work; however, in 2007 I started working part-time as caretaker of a country cemetery in Lucas Tx.
Pat and I celebrated our 30th anniversary this year and are in pretty good health.
My dad. Frank (age 90), still lives in Pampa as well as both of my brothers (Joe & Jimmy), so I still get to Pampa about 3 or 4 times a year. My sister, Donna, lives in Missouri City, Tx.
God has truly blessed my life and I give thanks to our Saviour, Jesus Christ. |
