& Amarillo, Texas; First Baptist Church, Pampa, Texas Life Since PHS. We have lived in ten different communities in four states and two countries since leaving Pampa High School. We have traveled in three countries and in most of the United States. I retired after 30 plus years in hospital administration in 1999 after a bout with cancer and bought a ranch north of Pampa (the old H. L. Ledrick home place twenty miles north of town). I have helped care for my mother (who just passed away in June 2008) and dad (who is now 88 years of age ) in Pampa. My wife and I work the ranch along with our dog, Sam, and enjoy the wildlife around us every day. It has been interesting at times such as being trapped in the wildfires two years ago that burned our entire ranch except the house area, but I truly love the ranch. I have been active in Masonry, becoming a Master Mason, York Rite Mason, Scottish Rite Mason, and the Shrine in the last three years and have been elected Master of the Lodge for 2008/2009. I am also the volunteer Curator of the Pampa Freedom Museum USA. My wife and I are active in Pampa’s First Baptist Church. Pampa and all the wonderful people who guided and taught me while I grew up here, Pampa School Systems (especially PHS); and all my classmates I thank for enabling me to live the life that I have led and lead. My presence here is helping me give back to my parents and the community a small piece of what I was given as a young boy and man. I look forward to seeing everyone at our 50th reunion. |
