Hello fellow 1958 Pampa High School graduates.

1958 was a great year.  I graduated from Pampa High School and got married to Gene Doggett in October.  Gene was working for the Engineering Division of the Texas Department of Highways, and I went to work for the Gray County Tax Assessor/Collector.

Our 1st daughter, Connie, was born in November 1961.  Our 2nd daughter, Cheryl, was born in October 1965.  In 1966 we moved to Marshall, Tx, and in 1968 we moved to Boulder. Colo.  In 1969 we moved to Hope, Ark. and then back to Pampa.  In 1970 we were offered a job in Perryton, Tx with Transwestern Pipeline Co. which later became a subsidiary of Enron Corp.  We lived in Perryton for the next sixteen years where I worked for the Ochiltree Co. Tax Assessor.  Our daughters graduated from Perryton High School and went on to college.  In 1986, before Transwestern became part of Enron, we were transferred to Roswell, New Mexico where Gene was district supervisor for all of New Mexico, Arizona and part of West Texas.  I did not work because I could go with Gene when he would make his trips over the district.  In 1993 Gene was offered and “early out” which he did take but worked in the same position as a contractor for the next two years.  In 1994 we decided to retire completely, and we then moved to Granbury, Tx where we now live on beautiful Lake Granbury.

We enjoy traveling in our motor home all over the country.  We spend most of the winter either on the Texas coast or in Arizona.  Most car trips are from Granbury to Amarillo and Austin.

Our daughter, Connie, lives in Amarillo with her husband, Brad Estes, and their two sons Kyler and Tanner.  Connie works for the school system, and Brad works for the postal service.  Kyler is 17 and will be a senior at Amarillo High and plays football for the Sandies.  Would you believe we go up there to root for the Sandies?  Only for a grandson!!  Tanner is 12 and is playing 7th grade football … another Sandie in the making.

Cheryl lives in Austin with her husband Louis Huggins.  They just got married last August.  She works for an Orthodontist, and Louis owns his own company.

Gene and I will soon be married 45 years.  God has been good to us.  We are healthy and our kids and grandkids are healthy.  We are very thankful that we and our kids and grandkids know and serve the Lord.  We enjoy living in Granbury where we are members of the First Baptist Church and have many great friends.

I am looking forward to seeing all of the 1958 graduates at the reunion in September.
