The Great Water Tower Caper

Note the painting on the tower.
This water tower is the one near the old Top'O Texas Drive-In Theater. A blowup of the writing is below:

It has been told to me in strict confidence the history of how the class of '58 accomplished this near super-human task. And since the statute of limitations has now expired, the tale can safely be told without fear of prosecution.
Robert Collett and Corky Cambern and, perhaps, Ralph Depee painted three names on the shiny new surface: Pat Jones', Pat Dial's and Heidi Schneider's. "Pat Anne Theresa (Dial)" is Pat Dial, "Pat L." is Pat Lamarr (Jones), and ever so faint is "Heidi" (Schneider). It is understood but not confirmed that a block and tackle was used to hoist the paint can, all of this daring feat done under the cover of darkness.
An attempt to contact each of Robert and Ralph was made by this anonymous reporter but no response was forthcoming from either party. No attempt was made to contact Corky (for obvious reasons too numerous to elaborate).
News flash as of 2/1/08. From one of the sources of this covert action, this reporter has learned that Gene Shirley also had a hand in this. He provided the ladder to scale the fence for the "2nd story" men to do their task.
